Supported nopCommerce versions

4.10, 4.20, 4.30, 4.40, 4.50, 4.60, 4.70, 4.80, 4.90 and 5.00. The download is one ZIP that contains a build for every version, plus NopShine Core. Upload it under Configuration > Local plugins > Upload plugin or theme; your store installs the matching build automatically. Install NopShine Core first, then the search plugin.

Requirements

• NopShine Core (free, included in the ZIP), installed before this plugin.
• A Google Cloud project with the Retail API enabled and a service account with the Retail Editor role. Google charges for the Retail API according to its own pricing.

Setup

1. Install NopShine Core, then this plugin.
2. In Google Cloud, enable the Retail API, create a service account with the Retail Editor role and download a JSON key.
3. In nopCommerce, open Configuration > Local plugins > Google AI Ecommerce Search > Configure: enter the project ID, paste the JSON key, tick Enabled and save.
4. Click Sync catalog now. Google needs some time to index a new catalog; until then the standard search answers.

Notes

• In nopCommerce 4.x the plugin cannot run alongside another plugin that also replaces the product search service; the configuration page names the conflicting plugin. Search providers that use nopCommerce's own search (for example Lucene in 4.6+) keep working and answer whenever the AI search falls back.
• In nopCommerce 4.x, searches with specification-attribute, warehouse or "featured only" filters use the standard search.
• In nopCommerce 5.0 the plugin uses the built-in AI search hook and becomes the active AI provider. Switch providers under Local plugins > Edit > "Is enabled".
• NopShine Core sends anonymous usage statistics (store URL, nopCommerce version, installed NopShine plugins and versions). You can turn this off on the NopShine Core configuration page.
